MAX MYERS / DIRECTOR

Max is a graduate of the London Film School, and has directed commercials, music videos and short films for over 10 years. His previous short film, 'Watching', screened at festivals across the world, including the LA Short Film Festival, the Leeds International Film Festival and Encounters Film Festival. It picked up awards at the Manhattan Short Film Festival and the British Film Festival.

'The Birthday Gift' is the second collaboration between Max, writer Nico Mensinga, and also cinematographer Dan Stafford-Clark, the team behind 'Watching'. Max is currently developing a feature-length project through Agile Films.

Max is represented by Agile Films for commercials and by Linda Seifert Management for TV and film.

Joe has been working in commercials, music videos and short films for over 10 years. In 2006 he joined the newly formed production company Agile Films as a full-time producer. Over the last seven years Agile has expanded to a full-time staff of 25, with an extensive roster of directors across live action and animation.

Although they have worked together as a producer/director team on a variety of film projects over the years, 'The Birthday Gift' sees the first short film collaboration with his brother Max.

Joe and Max are currently in development on their first feature-length project with Agile Films.

After the success of 'Watching', Nico wrote the low budget feature 'Titus', directed by Charlie Cattrall. It stars Obie Award winning actor Ron Cepahs Jones, and was shot by Paul Berriff, a long time Werner Herzog collaborator. It has been nominated for Best UK feature at Raindance 2013, and was in the official competition at Dinard British Film Festival.

Nico currently has another feature in development with Warp Films. Nico is represented by United Agents.

Dan completed his MA in cinematography at the National Film and Television School under the tutelage of Brian Tufano BSC (Trainspotting, A Life Less Ordinary, Quadrophenia). He has shot countless shorts on a variety of formats as well as music videos for the likes of Roots Manuva, Dirty Pretty Things and Mystery Jets. In 2013 he completed his first feature, 'Everyone's Going To Die', directed by Jones which had its world premiere at the prestigious South By Southwest festival and european premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Dan is represented by Vision at Wizzo.


BLAIR MOWAT / COMPOSER

BLAIR MOWAT / COMPOSER

Blair has composed numerous scores for film, theatre and media, with clients ranging from the English National Ballet to the likes of Channel 4 and Kevin Spacey. He is a BAFTA nominated, 4Talent short-listed, award-winning composer with a BA (Hons) in Music from Durham University and an MA in Composition for Film and Television from Bristol University, for which he was awarded a Distinction. In 2012 he was nominated for a Creative Scotland Award for 'Best New Talent' in the Scottish arts.
